Day trip from Split to Brač is scheduled at 9.00 am ferry from Split Harbor. Next, arriving at the island, we start our Panoramic drive towards the village of Škrip. In fact, Škrip is believed to be the oldest settlement on the island. Many years were a Greek colony for the people of Salona when they were attacked in the 7th century. Furthermore, in Škrip, we will visit the “Museum of olive oil”. It presents the traditional process of olive oil production and exhibits mill, press, spindle and more. Besides olive oil presentation, visitors can taste olive oil and other local food products. Local people of Brač are very proud of their oil so if requested, olive oil and food tasting can be organized in the museum.
Next, leaving Škrip and we continue driving across the island to the most famous destination – Bol. With our driver guide in the lead, you can relax and enjoy the island’s diverse nature. Finally, we will stop at the most beautiful panoramic view of the Brač Island – Vidova Gora (778 m). That is a unique opportunity to reward yourself with the unforgettable views of Bol town. Furthermore, with surrounding islands of Hvar, Vis, and Korčula. Once we reach Bol, we will take a walk towards the most beautiful beach in Croatia – “Zlatni Rat” and stop for a coffee and free time for swimming. Lastly, we board a ferry from Supetar and are expected to arrive in Split at 4.30 pm.
Besides beautiful nature, Brač Island is famous for its “marble”. Originally was used by Romans, who recognized its unique brightness and durability. Furthermore, for those who want to understand Brač marble in more depth, we will take you to the “Stonemason school in Pučišća”. Together with local master visit schools which presents a great example of generations of stonemasons on this island.
