Meet your local guide in the park and start with a pleasant train ride around the Upper Lakes. Your licensed guide is a professional with more than 10 years of experience. We start our tour by exploring the series of twelve interconnected lakes called the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera). The lakes also change color depending on the mineral composition of the water and the microorganisms living in them. We’ll continue going through the fascinating landscape of the park until we reach the boat that will transport us to the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera). Finally, the highest waterfall in the Plitvice National Park is Veliki Slap – the Great Waterfall. Witness the magnificence of the 78 meters at the National Park’s very end.
After the tour of Plitvice Lakes, additionally (at your own expense), you can enjoy a “traditional lunch” in one of the local restaurants. You will enjoy the stunning countryside landscape, local homemade folk-cuisine specialties, and excellent local wines. Serving domestic cheese, prosciutto, pancetta, hard cow cheese, baked potatoes, and the most delicious bread. What else to look for?
