Morning departure from Dubrovnik. With our private driver, you can relax and enjoy a panoramic ride to the Pelješac peninsula and Korčula town. This private day trip is about exploring the Pelješac peninsula. After 2 hours of driving, we arrive in Korčula. One of the most popular travel destinations is also one of the greenest. Its dense pine forests inspired the Ancient Greeks to name it Melaina Korkyra (Black Corfu) when they settled there in 6 BC. Today, Korčula Town is one of the best-preserved medieval fortified towns in the Mediterranean. You will enter the world of Venetian palaces and charming little squares where you can relax and enjoy its unique atmosphere. After the city walk, it’s time to visit the houses where Marco Polo (1254 – 1324) is reputed to have been born—the famous world traveler and writer. Tour guide in Korčula is not included in the price of the tour and can be provided on client’s request.
Afterward, we continue our trip to Split. On our way, we can stop in a local winery for a tour around the vineyards together with wine tasting. You will be inspired by timeless stories leading Croatian winemakers “Grgurević and Matuško.” We will visit the family house and winery, meet the owners and listen to stories from firsthand winemakers. This private day trip is something you don’t want to miss. You will get great insight into this unique region’s local life and traditions from your local driver. The price of wine tasting is additional 40 EUR per person.
Next, we can stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants (at your own expense). You will try traditional Croatian cuisine. At the seaside promenade in Trstenik, in the medieval salt storage room, there is a restaurant called “Vitaceae”. Seafood is symbol of this area. Shells, crabs and fish are stored according to original Ston recipes from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic. Homemade bread, grilled fish, stews, risottos & homemade desserts of this region will impress you and return to the past glorious times of this region. Refreshed after lunch, we are ending this day in Split and expected to arrive at 5.00 pm.
“The Pelješac peninsula is one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia”
“Discover Ston famous for the longest stone wall in Europe, salt cultivation farming and oyster growing farms”
“End in Split the second largest town in Croatia and the capital of Dalmatia”
