Good news, world! Croatia opens its borders to tourists. Things look much better in June, considering the last couple of months in 2020. World was completely closed and almost all travel plans have come to a full stop. Today, we are here to help you with some information on how to travel to Croatia in 2020. We have decided to offer you our travel consulting services until further notice. Our dedicated concierge services will always find the ideal solution for all Your requirements.
Croatia will open its borders without restrictions to all EU / EEU member countries on Monday 22 June. Visitors from these countries will not be subject to quarantine on arrival. Proof of tourist accommodation booking is required upon entry. After July 1st (unofficially), you can enter Croatia if you are a US citizen. No quarantine, virus test or self-isolation is required. In order to facilitate your entry and stay in Croatia, the government has launched the Enter Croatia website where foreign nationals can complete the required form in advance of their arrival.
Restaurants and cafes have been open and operational since early May, and are also allowed to provide outdoor seating and service. Parks and Beaches are open for public use. Croatia’s eight national parks and 13 nature parks are open for business and greeting visitors. Museums and galleries in Croatia reopened at the start of May in the first phase of exit from lockdown. Face masks and gloves are not required in public. Social distance of 1.5m is recommended.
Croatia has handled the health threat from coronavirus extremely well, both in terms of measures taken and communication. The quarantine requirements that had applied to anyone entering the country have now been withdrawn so 14-day self-isolation is no longer required. However, we do expect social distancing measures in restaurants and public places to be enforced.
With the borders open and flights resume Croatia will be a popular destination given its low incidence of COVID-19. Some guests have already canceled their 2020 bookings for August and September but these dates are likely to be sold quickly. It will certainly be necessary to book very early for a 2021 holiday. Many 2020 tour bookings are carried over to 2021. If the virus has been defeated and it is safe to travel we expect there to be a shortage of capacity. Croatia will be promoting itself as a low-risk destination as far as COVID-19 is concerned.
We are able to tour all over the country. You can complete your booking online by using the displayed booking form on www.croatia-private-tours.com website.
