Zagreb ”the capital of Croatia”, cultural, economic and political center of the Croatia country. Zagreb with its rich history dating back from the Roman times to the present day.  The first recognition of the settlement as Zagreb appears to have been recorded in 1094. Today Zagreb presents into two different cities. The modern, urban and vibrant capital and the historic and cultural Zagreb that grew side by side with its counterpart Vienna. Zagreb is a city that embraces the modern but never forgets its glorious past. The town is protected by the mountain of Medvednica and the Sava river. In the center, there are many parks, streets, squares to make its beautiful surroundings. The town is divided into three parts; Gornji grad (Upper Town), Donji grad (Lower Town) and the modern area of Novi Zagreb (New Zagreb).

The shortest cable car in the world has only 66 meters in length and connecting downtown Zagreb with the Upper (old) Town. After the ride to the Upper Town, you will enjoy the historic walk through its alleys, palaces, and monuments. From the Upper Town, we go downtown passing by the Zagreb’s Cathedral and walking through Croatia’s biggest Farmers Market “Dolac”. “Dolac“ market is placed in the very heart of Zagreb. Visit the “Dolac“ market and you will have an enchanting experience. Your senses will be activated magically. It is a unique market where different Croatian customs and gastronomic diversity meet in one place. The city tour ends with lunch in one of Zagreb’s traditional restaurants where you will have a chance to try some of the local specialties.

Zagreb is a destination that changes its personality year-round. During the “Advent time”, Zagreb transforms into the “best Christmas market” in Europe award for the third year running! Following the path of thousands of Xmas lights, the scent of gingerbread and mulled wine, you will have plenty of fun. Try some excellent food and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere at unique events. Zagreb Christmas Market is perfect to get in the mood for Christmas. Start from ice-skating at the Tomislav Square and continue through the Zrinjevac Park and the Chef’s Street in Tomićeva to end up in the Upper Town of Zagreb for some amazing sights. Don’t forget to try some of the Croatian traditional cuisines. The famous pie with onions, tomato and anchovies or sardines from the island Vis, called “Viška pogača” or the dish Zagreb is most famous about, the pastry filled with cottage cheese, named “štrukli”.
