Today, we leave Korčula. Drive along the coastal road from where you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the Adriatic archipelago. At the island, we visit the Lavender fields around the village of Brusje, high up on the old road to Stari Grad. This village has stunning views of the seas and mainland. We walk through Lavender fields. Our program continues as we meet the leading Croatian winemaker “Duboković”. You will be invited to step into the family house and winery as well, meet the owner and listen to stories from the firsthand winemaker. Apart from the wines, they produce a wide range of varietal and aromatized olive oils. This trip ends with an authentic island culinary picnic at the picturesque village of Vrisnik. Refreshed after lunch we continue towards Hvar with an overnight stay in Hvar.
Today, we leave to Split to discover the old part of the largest Dalmatian town and travel back to the “ancient Roman Empire”. This private tour sets off at the main waterfront Riva in front of the south wall of Diocletian’s Palace. Emperor Diocletian lived long enough to retire. He decided to build his own retirement Palace right on the peninsula near the Roman city Salona. We will enter the substructures of the palace, which are prime examples of great Roman architecture. From the Diocletian’s cellars to the grand Peristyle square, Vestibule, and Jupiter’s temple, you will find yourself in the old town surrounded by great examples of ancient architecture. Today, we continue our tour to Šibenik, the oldest Croatian city on the Adriatic coast. Over the centuries it’s been the home to acclaimed inventors, scientists, actors & sportspeople. During the tour, we will visit St. Jacob Cathedral, one of a kind monument on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Next, we will take a short drive inland where is the charming rural village. “The Rak family” has been producing wine for generations. Serving four authentic high-quality wines, domestic cheese, and homemade olive oil. Prosciutto, Pancetta, Mediterranean salami, baked potatoes, and the most delicious bread. What else to look for?
