When traveling from Zagreb to Split, Plitvice Lakes National Park is the perfect stop to make on the route. Meet your driver at your hotel or private accommodation address in Zagreb. The distance between Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes and Split is 450 km. With our professional driver guide, you can relax and focus on sightseeing. After 1 hour of driving, We arrive at Rastoke, often referred to as “the Small Lakes of Plitvice” (Optional stop, vignette to be paid at the spot). The village found its place at the foot of the 19th-century Napoleon’s army Magazine (storage). Visit Rastoke Village for up to 1 hour – additional 35 EUR (price per vehicle, not per person)
Furthermore, we continue to Plitvice Lakes. The national park consists of 16 lakes, which are stepwise and descend into one another. Upon arrival in the park, we meet our local guide and start the tour inside (if you choose to have one for additional cost). The tour of the park will take approximately 3 hours. Will include hiking along both upper and lower lakes, a boat ride over the big lake and a train ride through the park area at the end. Don’t miss seeing “Veliki Slap”, the highest waterfall in the Plitvice National Park, 78 meters high. This private transfer is available for booking year-round. From the months of March until the first snow of November, the roads to the Plitvice Lakes are passable. However, winter, too, has its own charm when Plitvice lakes are covered in deep ice and snow.
Additionally (at your own expense), you can enjoy a “traditional lunch” in one of the local restaurants. You will enjoy the stunning countryside landscape, local homemade folk-cuisine specialties, and excellent local wines. Serving domestic cheese, prosciutto, pancetta, hard cow cheese, baked potatoes, and the most delicious bread. What else to look for? Following lunch, we are continuing the trip towards Split and expected to arrive in Split at 5.00 pm.
